Corpus Christi trip, August 2010

We took a great weekend trip to Corpus Christi to go to the Texas State Aquarium and the U.S.S. Lexington Aircraft carrier.  We drove down, about a 3+ hour trip on Saturday morning and quickly checked in to our hotel.  Andrew got a great gift at check in, a pail, shovel, and lots of other goodies!  We headed straight over to the aquarium, after a little bit of a detour of course... can't always trust the yahoo directions. :)

Father and son...

We had a great time just hanging out at the pool on Saturday night.  Andrew and I enjoyed a dip in the pool, checked out what was shakin' in the lobby and got some rest.

Bright and early Sunday morning we got ready, got checked out and headed over to the U.S.S. Lexington Aircraft Carrier.  It really was an incredible experience to explore all the different levels of the ship there was everything from a barber shop to a post office right on the ship.  I would have never have imagined it that way.  There were so many incredible airplanes on the ship, photos, artifacts, and so much more.  We rode in a flight simulator which was a lot of fun, and took lots of great pics.
